Welcome.
My name is Stephanie Crawford. I am a hospice nurse and death doula.
I believe in the depths of my heart that while dying can be a time of suffering, it is also an opportunity for profound healing. It is through growing our capacity to be with this suffering, as well as rediscovering moments of deep presence and beauty that we are able to experience transformative healing at the end of life.
I hold the vision of a world where we honor death as a rite of passage not to be feared, but rather embraced and revered as a sacred part of all of our lives.
Through gentle mindfulness practices, thoughtful inquiry, education, and practical support, I am dedicated to helping you navigate your end of life transition with more readiness, grace, and ease.
Serving clients and loved ones in Marin County and San Francisco Bay Area.

Death Doulas Bridge Gaps In Hospice Care
Death Doulas (also called End of Life Doulas or Death Midwives) are an essential part of your care team. Many people approaching end of life seek hospice for symptom management, to access federally funded resources, and receive care from a multi-disciplinary team. Hospice is an incredible service that offers many benefits; however, just like any healthcare system, there are limitations and unfilled gaps created by Medicare rules, bureaucratic restrictions, and staffing shortages. Caseloads are high for hospice nurses, social workers, and spiritual support counselors, which means they aren’t able to dedicate very much time to their patients, maybe only one to two hours per week. As your death doula, Stephanie can bridge these gaps by spending more time with you and your loved ones, and working with your hospice team to ensure all of your unique end-of-life needs are being met.
Whether or not you are enrolled in a hospice program, Stephanie can be of great service in providing additional resources, more one-on-one time, and the high-quality emotional, physical, and spiritual support you deserve.
